Cartalax 20mg peptide

Cartalax 20mg peptide: a research vial of Cartalax (Ala-Glu-Asp), a three amino acid peptide from a Saint Petersburg research group, tested only on cells in a dish in our search; Peptides Hanoi cites three cell studies on it, from 2016 to 2020, and researchers from that one group took part in all three.

What is Cartalax?

Cartalax 20mg is a three amino acid peptide known so far only from work in cell cultures. In research papers it goes by its sequence, AED.

The chain is Ala-Glu-Asp: alanine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid. It belongs with Vilon and Epithalon in the family of short peptides made by one research group in St. Petersburg.

Only six PubMed records use the trade name. The papers below speak of AED, and researchers from that same group appear on all three.

What the 3 PubMed papers cited for Cartalax looked at, 2016 to 2020

All three studies used ageing cells in a dish. In 2020, ageing human skin cells were exposed to AED, and the team measured collagen and two upkeep proteins, sirtuin-1 and sirtuin-6.

An earlier study, from 2016, measured an enzyme that breaks skin tissue down, and markers of cell growth, in ageing skin cells given AED.

Another 2020 paper used ageing human stem cells, measuring the activity of genes linked to ageing with AED and two related peptides.

No animal study or human trial of Cartalax appears in this record. Cells in a dish are a first step, not a result in a living body.

Reading the Cartalax record

Every study here used cells in a dish, and each used ageing cells on purpose: skin cells or stem cells grown until they slowed down. That is a sensible model for ageing research, but it stops short of a living body.

The name also needs care. Only six PubMed records say Cartalax, while the research papers use AED. A search for the trade name alone would miss most of what there is.

Two names help when reading these papers. Sirtuins are cell upkeep proteins; the 2020 study measured sirtuin-1 and sirtuin-6. And the research group is the Khavinson group of St. Petersburg, whose researchers appear on all three papers.

Until an animal study turns up, the honest summary is that the papers found studied it only in ageing cells in a dish.

Questions about Cartalax

Why do the papers say AED instead of Cartalax?

AED spells the chain in one-letter code: alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid. Papers use the code; sellers use the name.

What kind of evidence exists for Cartalax?

Cell studies only. No animal study or human trial turned up in the search behind this page.

Which proteins did the Cartalax skin cell study measure?

Collagen, plus sirtuin-1 and sirtuin-6, two proteins involved in cell upkeep, all measured in ageing human skin cells.
